Renal function tests and CPK should be monitored frequently in patients with renal impairment that are in treatment with daptomycin. Additionally, the success rates of treatment with this drug were lower when used in patients with CrCl <50 mL/min. This should be taken into account when selecting an antibacterial therapy in patients with baseline moderate to severe renal impairment.
