Consumer:The use of carbonic anhydrase inhibitors is contraindicated in patients with closed-angle glaucoma. Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors may mask worsening glaucoma due to decreased intraocular pressure. Extreme caution should be exercised if carbonic anhydrase inhibitors is administered to these patients.
